Job Description

Sunrise Freight Systems Inc., located at 11 Sloan Drive, Caledon, Ontario L7C 2B8 is looking for a Dispatch Coordinator for a permanent full-time position.

Main Duties of the Dispatch Coordinator (NOC 12013):

• Supervise, plan, direct and co-ordinate inbound, outbound shipments, freight routes with dispatching crews, scheduling, tracking, transportation crews.
• Resolve work-related problems (on-route accidents due to weather, truck maintenance problems, wrong deliveries, miss-communication, routes, and daily run sheet) and implement educative procedures and process for future improvements.
• Plan, organize and oversee operational to develop the plans, policies, procedures for health and safety regulatory requirements such as movement of hazardous material.
• Co-ordinate, assign and review work of drivers and staff in freight forwarding and distribution.
• Periodically review the workers on regularly basis and make their progress report and submit it to the higher management.
• Train the new and ongoing staff on company's policies; their job duties and on any software and hardware the company acquires.
• Requisition supplies and materials like stationery.
• Ensure that all the computers, photocopiers and other office equipment’s are in proper working condition.
• Co-ordinate with mechanics for required truck, trailer maintenance or repairs. Making emergency arrangements for repair and maintenance of the equipment’s.
• Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
• Performing the same duties as workers supervised as when required.

Requirements:

Completion of Post-Secondary Diploma in business, supply chain or related program is required.
Minimum 2 year of experience is required in related field. 

Wage:

$36.20/hour, 35 hours/week
