Responsibilities

Tasks

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
• Advise on tendering procedures
• Analyze tenders and recommend awards
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
• Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
• Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors

• Directed the estimating department, preparing accurate cost estimates for residential, projects.

• Negotiated with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.

• Led and mentored a team of estimators, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

• Developed conceptual, preliminary, and detailed estimates from early design through final tender.

• Built and maintained historical cost databases, improving accuracy and consistency of future bids.
