Drywall Installer

Salary: $31.00 per hour (35–40 hours per week)

We take pride in quality craftsmanship and reliable service. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Drywall Installer to join our growing team.

Job Responsibilities
As a Drywall Installer, you will:

• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.

• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.

• Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.

• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.

• Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry.

• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.

• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and a broad knife.

• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.

• Clean and prepare surfaces before and after finishing.

• Supervise other workers as needed.

• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year (or equivalent experience).

• Language: English.

Work Environment

• Work must be completed on-site at various locations.

• Work conditions may include: at heights, dusty, and noisy environments.

• Physically demanding role – repetitive tasks, lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
