Salary: $31.00 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week

Overview

Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Responsibilities

Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy for long-haul routes
Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
Obtain special permits and documentation required to transport cargo on international routes
Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport materials
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance
Perform brake adjustments, preventive maintenance, and minor roadside repairs
Plan or adjust routes using GPS and navigation equipment to minimize fuel consumption
Communicate effectively with dispatch, receiving and relaying information
Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Ensure tarping and proper safety/security measures for cargo
Transport and handle dangerous goods with care
Provide professionalism in customer service and address customer concerns

Credentials

Class 1 or A Driver’s License (AZ Class)
