Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Wage: $36.25 per hour
Shift: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours
Language: English
Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
License: AZ Class Driver’s Licence

Job Duties:

• Calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions

• Load and unload goods

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

• Pay and receive payments for goods

• Perform brake adjustments

• Perform emergency roadside repairs

• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle

• Perform preventive maintenance

• Receive and relay information to central dispatch

• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
