Permanent Full Time Child Caregiver - Private Home wanted for Chebas’ residence at the Horizon View Glen Community in Calgary Alberta.   Wage rate is $20.00 per hour and works 40-44 hours per week.  Benefit includes 10-day vacation leave per year.  Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis but please note that this is NOT a condition of employment.

JOB DUTIES:

• Supervise and care for children in the employer's private residence and may reside in employer's home but this is not a condition of employment
• Bathe, dress and feed the children
• Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the parents
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Follow parent’s lead with toilet training
• Tend to the emotional well-being of the children
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by parents
• Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise to the children
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for the children
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of the parents
• Travel with the family as required to assist in supervision of the children and housekeeping duties

Education: Completion of high school

Work experience: Previous related work experiences serve as an asset but certainly not required as employer will provide training.
