Job Description

Clever Cub Childcare is a full-time daycare center established in North Vancouver.We have
expanded to second and third locations in Sunshine coast. We are looking for motivated Early Childhood
Educators (Inafnt-Toddler) to join our team.


- Hourly wage: $36.60-$37.60/hour

Duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of infants and toddlers.

  • Lead engaging activities such as storytelling, singing, creative art, music, movement, and outdoor exploration to encourage sensory and creative development.

  • Plan and maintain a nurturing, safe, and hygienic environment that supports each child’s health, security, and overall well-being.

  • Observe and assess each child’s abilities, interests, and developmental progress, sharing insights and updates with parents and team members.

  • Identify and document signs of developmental delays, learning challenges, or behavioural concerns, and communicate observations to supervisors or parents.

  • Guide and assist children with daily routines, including feeding, dressing, toileting, and hygiene, fostering independence and healthy habits.

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support consistent care and communication.

  • Collaborate with co-workers and community service providers to enhance the quality of child development programs.

  • Support inclusion and diversity by creating an environment where each child feels valued and respected.

  • Participate in program planning, evaluation, and improvement to ensure high standards of early childhood education.

Job requirements:

 

  • Basic ECE certification in British Columbia
  • Infant Toddler Educator (ITE) License is required
  • At least 6 months of experience
  • Any training related to child growth and development is an asset
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR-C certificate required (to be obtained within 30 days after the start date)
  • Language of work: English
  • Flexibility, Organized, Attention to details
