Job Description

Position: Bricklayer (NOC 72320) (full-time 35-40 hours)

Wage: $48.78 per hour + benefits according to LiUNA Local 183 collective agreement

Location of Work: Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Province of Ontario

Job Description:

-      Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units

-      Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing

-      Construct and install prefabricated masonry units

-      Build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations

-      Face, size, cut and lay stones

-      Lay conventional or tongue and groove blocks without mortar to build walls or foundation walls

-      Waterproof masonry

-      Remove and replace existing masonry work for alterations or restorations

-      Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

-      Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Physically demanding; Handling heavy loads; Standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.

Job Requirements: 3 - 5 years of experience
