Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Khao San Road located at 11 Charlotte Street Toronto, Ontario M5V 2H5 is looking for a dynamic an experienced executive Chef, to take charge of all of the food created inside the kitchen, develop a menu, manage kitchen staff members, and help prepare the meals served in the Restaurant.

 

1 FULL-TIME POSITION 40HRS PER WEEK

27.00 PER HOUR

SHIFT WORK

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Develop and create new menu items, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer preferences
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain stock levels and minimize waste
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop and implement cost-effective strategies for menu planning and       pricing
- Monitor food quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary to meet customer expectations
- Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques to continuously improve menu offerings

 

REQUIREMENTS:

- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality establishment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- In-depth knowledge of food service regulations and best practices for food handling and safety
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on creativity and innovation
- Proficient in managing kitchen operations, including inventory control and cost management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, management, and suppliers
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

SKILLS:


- Leadership, Supervising and Kitchen Management 2 + years of expirience
- Food service
- Food handling
- 5 year + Hospitality and culinary industry
- Food preparation techniques

INTERNATIONAL CUISINE, THAI
