Job Description

Location: Woodbridge, ON L4L 7Z9

Salary: $62.25 per hour for 30 hours per week

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Hiring, managing, and leading a team of professionals to ensure efficient operations and high performance.
  • Identifying areas for overall improvement and implementing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Managing the budget for operations, controlling expenses, and ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Oversee regular reports and updates about the performance metrics and profitability. 
  • Allocating required resources and maintaining quality standards for meat products, including hygiene, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and mitigating operational risks to minimize disruptions and losses.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, partners, and clients. 
  • Developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve performance.
  • Handling unexpected issues and emergencies that may impact operations.
  • Implementing and optimizing technology solutions to enhance efficiency.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, operations management, or a related discipline is required. 
  • Significant experience in operations management of 5 years or more is essential. 
  • Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial management is required with a budgetary responsibility of $500,001 to $1,500,000.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure a reliable and cost-effective source of meat products while maintaining quality standards.
  • Managing operational costs, budgeting, and cost reduction initiatives to maintain profitability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with the team, executives, or others.
  • Experience in management and the ability to oversee complex issues within operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills are required with a proven track record of managing and leading teams effectively.
  • The ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions is important.
