Job Description

Wage: $28.00 per hour (full-time position; 40 hours/week)

Location of Work: Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Job Description:

• Determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Use hand tools to measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete unit using glue and clamps and reinforce joints using nails, screws or other fasteners
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products
• Operate woodworking machines, i.e., power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers
• Prepare layouts

Work Conditions:

Physically demanding; bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty

Work Setting: Millwork/prefab shopwork

Job Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience
