Job Responsibilities:

• Accurately process cash transactions, including receiving payments, providing change, and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, handling returns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience at the store.
• or computerized POS systems to process transactions efficiently.
• Provide customers with receipts for purchases and ensure proper recording of all transactions.
• Reconcile cash registers at the end of shifts to ensure the amount of cash in the drawer matches transactions processed.
• Keep the cashier area clean and organized, creating a welcoming and efficient environment.
• Accept various forms of payment, such as cash, credit cards, and debit cards, ensuring proper authorization. 
• Familiarity with products or services offered to assist customers with inquiries and enhance their shopping experience.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products or services, contributing to increased sales.

Eligibility Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum educational requirement for the cashier position. 
• Previous experience of 1 to 2 years is highly valued for effective working. 
• One must possess basic math skills to accurately handle cash transactions and provide correct change. 
• Good English communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, addressing inquiries, and providing a positive shopping experience. 
• Strong attention to detail to accurately process transactions, enter prices and handle cash. 
• One should be friendly, patient, and able to handle customer concerns in a professional manner.
• Being able to spot and correct errors is important for maintaining accuracy

Location: Brantford, ON   N3T 0N5

Salary: $18.10 per hour for 35 hours per week

 hours per week

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
