Job Description

Location: Mississauga, ON L5T 2M9

Salary: $ 28.10 hourly / 35 hours per week

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative assistance such as managing calendars, handling correspondence, and organizing files.
  • Procure and manage office supplies, ensuring necessary IT equipment is available and functioning.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, booking rooms, and managing logistics for virtual or in-person gatherings.
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration within the IT company.
  • Oversee office facilities, ensuring a comfortable and efficient work environment, and liaise with building management if needed.
  • Arrange travel accommodations and itineraries for employees.
  • Assist in tracking and managing office-related budgets, including expenses for supplies, equipment, and events.
  • Maintain organized records, including financial documents, data, employee records, and other pertinent information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, especially those related to office operations and IT resources.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Typically, a CEGEP or college diploma is required.
  • Candidates with relevant work experience of 2 to 3 years in office administration or a related role.
  • Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant applications is usually a prerequisite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with colleagues and external contacts.
  • The ability to manage tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain an organized office environment is crucial.
  • One should demonstrate the capacity to identify and solve problems efficiently.
  • Given the diverse tasks involved, the capability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously is often required.
  • Accuracy in tasks such as data entry, record-keeping, and scheduling is important.
