Northern Inn is currently seeking a proactive and team-oriented Food Service Supervisor to ensure smooth restaurant operation of Northern Motor Inn.

Work Location: 3086 16 Highway East, Thornhill, BC V8G 3N5

Position Title: Food Service Supervisor

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1

Wage: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

Responsibility:

• Supervises employees engaged in Food and Beverage section;
• Establish work schedules and evaluates work performance of employees;
• Monitor, estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for daily meal preparation in a timely manner;
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safely procedures, and ensure followed at all times;
• Ensure customer service and food quality meet the standard of Northern Motor Inn;
• Make a note and inform kitchen staffs if there is any food allergies or special requests from customers;
• Keep a record of inventory, supplies, food waste, and sales at restaurant.
• Participate in development of sanitation and safety standards and ensure implementation of standards established;

 Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline

OR

• Since this is a supervisory position, at least 1 + year of working experience in food preparation or service are required;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a great team player;
• Working knowledge of English;
