                JOB DESCRIPTION

 Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 1V9

Salary: $54.10 per hour for 35 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

Job Responsibilities: 

• Writing, designing and maintaining new software programs and computer operating systems.
• Evaluating the software and systems that make computers and hardware work.
• Developing existing programs by analyzing and identifying areas for modification
• Writing systems to control the scheduling of jobs or to control the access allowed to users or remote systems
• Leading teams in the development of different aspects of software and computer applications.
• Developing maintenance procedures to encourage and ensure regular optimal productivity of the application
• Maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects.
• Developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Improving operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.

 Eligibility Requirements:

• A CEGEP/ college diploma is the minimal educational requirement.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Demonstrated experience of 2 to 3 years, either through personal projects or previous job experience is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to design and develop software solutions.
• Excellent technical knowledge
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
