Truck and Transport Mechanic- PRO1 TRUCK REPAIR AND TIRES INC.

Job details
Location: 14 MANSEWOOD COURT, Acton, ON L7J 0A1
Work location: On site
Salary: $36.00 hourly / 30 to 35 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Start Date: Starts as soon as possible
Vacancies: 1 vacancy

Job Requirements
Languages
: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification

Tasks

  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of commercial transport trucks and trailers to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts and components of truck, trailer, and automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, driveline, braking, and suspension systems.
  • Perform computerized engine diagnostics and electrical diagnostics, and complete repairs based on diagnostic results.
  • Repair, replace, and install automatic and manual transmissions, clutches, and drivetrain systems.
  • Conduct scheduled and preventive maintenance services to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.
  • Install, repair, and replace tires on trucks and trailers as required.
  • Perform welding and fabrication work related to truck and trailer repairs and modifications.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems used in commercial transport vehicles.
  • Complete service reports and maintenance records to document inspections, repairs, and work performed.
