Software and System Tester

• Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 hourly, to be negotiated, depending on experience
• Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Previous experience of 0 to 7 months in software testing, quality assurance, information technology, technical support, or a related field is an asset.

Remote

Work must be completed remotely. The employee will work from home and must have their own computer system and reliable internet connection.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Assist in developing and documenting software testing plans
• Review software requirements and prepare basic test cases under supervision
• Execute manual tests for software applications, web applications, and information systems
• Document test results clearly and accurately
• Identify, record, and report bugs, defects, errors, and usability issues
• Prepare screenshots, notes, and steps to reproduce software issues
• Monitor software functionality and report performance or operational issues
• Install, configure, and use required testing software and tools
• Re-test resolved issues and update test records
• Maintain testing files, reports, and related documentation
• Communicate testing progress and results with supervisors and project team members
• Follow company testing policies, procedures, privacy standards, and quality assurance guidelines
