Hours of Work
30 hours per week

Wage: $20.45 per hour

Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a Shift Manager at Pizza Garden (Burnaby), the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, including:
• Supervising, coordinating, and supporting food service staff during peak and non-peak hours
• Ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and customer service in line with Pizza Garden standards
• Opening and closing the restaurant during assigned shifts
• Assigning tasks and ensuring adequate staffing levels throughout the shift
• Training and mentoring new team members and supporting ongoing staff development
• Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with ordering food, supplies, and materials
• Handling customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations
• Assisting with cash handling, POS reconciliation, and basic shift reporting
• Communicating operational issues to senior management as needed

Employment Requirements
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar restaurant environment
• Previous supervisory or shift leadership experience is required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead by example and contribute positively to a team environment
