Salary: $36.00 hourly / 30 to 35 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On site:  Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting: Custom cabinet shop, Millwork shop

Tasks

• Sets up and operates woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointer, mortiser, tenoner, molder, and solid wood shaper, to cut and shape parts from wood stock
• Operate solid wood planers, jointers, and sanders to smooth, level, and prepare wood surfaces for assembly and finishing
• Operating various woodworking machines and using hand tools to cut shape and form designed
• Different parts of wood are fixed together using glue and clamps
• Reinforcing joints using nails and screw
• Training joints, sanding wooden surfaces
• Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels by hand or using boring machine
• Applying veneer stain or polish to finished products
• Repairing or restyling wooden furniture or fixtures marking outlines or dimensions on wood.
• Preparing and interpreting blueprint drawings
