Salary: $36.00 to 40.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 hours per week   

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine construction requirements.
• Prepare layouts according to building codes using measuring and marking tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, wood substitutes, and light steel materials for structural and finishing work.
• Construct building frameworks including foundations, floor systems, wall structures, and roof assemblies.
• Install windows, doors, staircases, mouldings, and related hardware as part of building construction or renovation.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and renovation work on residential and commercial buildings and other wooden structures.

 Eligibility Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Ability to perform physically demanding work including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy materials.
• Comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday on construction sites.
• Capable of handling heavy loads and performing tasks that require physical strength and endurance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and safety.
• Demonstrates strong attention to accuracy, sound judgment, reliability, and punctuality.
• Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills, maintains client focus, and works effectively as part of a team.
• Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills to understand instructions, safety procedures, and work orders.
