Job Description

Lynxedge Solutions is growing, and we are searching for one (1) User Support Technician to join our

collaborative Vancouver technology team. The position is ideal for early-career IT professionals who

enjoy solving problems, working with technology, and helping others.

 

Position: User Support Technician

NOC: 22221                                                                                                                                                                            

Terms of employment: Permanent / Full Time (32 hours per week)

Vacancy: 1

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $37.10/ hour

Language: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Minimum 2 year to less than 3 years experience needed.

Location: 201-3542 Blanshard St, Victoria, BC V8X 1W3

 

Main Duties:

  • Assist users in resolving technical issues with their computer systems, software, or devices.
  • Maintain a detailed log of technical issues and resolutions for future reference by the support team.
  • Support users with business applications, internet connectivity, and network-related problems.
  • Install and configure hardware and software for new or existing employees, including operating systems, cables, and applications.
  • Refer to user manuals, technical guides, and online resources to research and implement effective solutions.
  • Offer training and practical guidance to users to help them prevent and address recurring technical problems.
  • Assisting in helping other support team members.
  • Perform regular backups of the web server and manage recovery procedures when needed.
  • Deliver prompt and courteous customer service, ensuring user satisfaction with IT support.
