Vacancy: Long Haul Truck Driver

Salary: $37.00 hourly

Hours: 35 to 40 per week

Education: no education requirement

Start Date: as soon as possible

Requirements: Class 1 license with air brake endorsement or equivalent from any other province or country.

Duties:

• Operate and drive different kinds of trucks to transport goods and materials over long distance
• Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents to transport goods
• Load and unload cargo
• Ensure cargo is secured properly compliant with safety requirements
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel expenditure
• Maintain log books
• Report any incidents to dispatcher
• Follow all appropriate traffic laws
• Keep truck and associate equipment tidy and in good working order
