Location: 5120 Dixie Road, Mississauga, Ontario, L4W 4J7

Work location: On site

Salary: 37.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

Starts as soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: MUST

  • 1 year to less than 2 years as a restaurant manager.
  • Experience managing staff in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Experience with budgeting, inventory control and labour-cost management.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage restaurant operations independently.

Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily restaurant operations

Analyze operational performance and budgets to maintain and improve profitability

Develop and manage budgets related to food, labour, inventory and operational costs

Monitor revenues, labour costs and inventory levels to optimize operational efficiency

Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures and service standards

Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate restaurant staff and shift supervisors

Establish staff work schedules and monitor employee productivity and performance

Conduct employee performance reviews and implement staff development initiatives

Organize and maintain inventory control systems for food, beverages and restaurant supplies

Negotiate arrangements with suppliers and service vendors

Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and provincial liquor regulations

Participate in marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns and business development activities

Coordinate catering services, special events and customer relations activities

Resolve escalated operational and customer service issues

Prepare operational reports, sales summaries and administrative records

Lead and coordinate operations in a high-volume dine-in, takeout and catering restaurant environment

 

Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility (servers, cooks, chefs, kitchen helpers, dishwashers, supervisors, bartenders etc.)

 

Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office, MS Windows, Point of sale system
