Steel Detailer - Drafting

Employer: Pro Draft Inc.

Work Location: 12332 Pattullo Place, Surrey, BC V3V 8C3

Salary: $37.50 hourly

Terms of employment: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Language: English

Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience

Education: Completion of Secondary

Start date: As soon as possible

Job Duties:

• • Prepare steel shop drawings and detailed fabrication drawings using computer software, and other drafting software.
  • Read and understand structural and architectural drawings provided by engineers and clients.
  • Create computer-assisted design models and detailed layouts for structural steel projects.
  • Prepare material lists, dimensions, and connection details for fabrication and installation.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and site teams to ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
  • Update and revise drawings based on project changes and engineer comments.
  • Check drawings for accuracy, measurements, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Assist fabrication and installation teams by providing technical drawing support when needed.
  • Maintain organized project files, drawing revisions, and related documents.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to company standards, safety requirements, and project deadlines.
