Home care worker

• Salary 21.00 to 22.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 35 hours per Week

Education

• No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience

• Minimum one (1) year of independent, paid, and formal work experience providing care to seniors in a home care, community care, retirement residence or similar senior care setting. Volunteer experience, practicum placements, internships, and training placements will not be considered toward this requirement.

Tasks

• Administer bedside and personal care

• Administer medications

• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene

• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

• Provide companionship

• Provide personal care

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

• Cook

• Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
