Job Description
Home Child Care Provider
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and experienced Home Child Care Provider to supervise and care for children in the employer’s private residence. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing home environment while supporting the children’s daily routines, development, and emotional well-being.
Job Details
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 30 hours per week
Wage: $19.25 per hour
Work Location: Employer’s private residence — on-site work only
Work Schedule: Early morning, morning, daytime, evening, night, and weekend shifts may be required
Start Date: As soon as possible

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children of different ages.
- Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the parents.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment in the home.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Prepare infants and children for rest and bedtime periods.
- Take children to and from school, activities, and appointments.
- Organize age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and outings.
- Support children’s personal hygiene and social development.
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
- Monitor and support the children’s emotional well-being.
- Keep records of the children’s daily activities and relevant health information.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the children and common living areas.
- Follow the parents’ instructions regarding the children’s routines, meals, activities, and care requirements.
Employment Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Two to three years of relevant childcare experience is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Experience supervising and caring for a multi-aged group of children.
- Must be dependable, organized, patient, caring, and attentive to children’s needs.
- Must be able to work independently in the employer’s home.
Transportation
Public transportation is available near the work location.
