Job Duties & Responsibilities -
- Load freight onto the truck and safely unload it at the designated delivery locations.
- Obtain and maintain all required permits and transportation documents for cross-border and international shipments.
- Operate straight trucks or tractor-trailers to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
- Inspect and monitor the overall condition of the vehicle, including tires, brakes, lights, refrigeration units, and other essential equipment.
- Collect payments from customers when required and process payments related to freight deliveries.
- Carry out brake inspections and make necessary brake adjustments to ensure safe vehicle operation.
- Complete thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to confirm the truck is roadworthy and compliant with safety regulations.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and report any mechanical issues requiring repair.
- Maintain regular communication with dispatch by receiving trip instructions and providing updates on delivery status and route progress.
- Keep accurate records of cargo details, driving hours, mileage, fuel usage, and other required transportation logs.
- Secure cargo using tarps, straps, and other safety devices to prevent movement or damage during transit and ensure compliance with cargo safety regulations.
Eligibility Requirements -
- A Secondary school graduation certificate is the minimum educational requirement for this job.
- No experience required, on-the-job training will be provided
- A valid regular driver's license is often required to start the hiring process.
- AZ class license preferably be required.
- Background checks to ensure that one has no disqualifying criminal history
- A good understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards is crucial
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for understanding road signs, and regulations, andeffectively communicatingwith others.

- Overtime :1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
- Vacation Pay : 4% on every pay period
