JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ARE LISTED BELOW:

• Provide attentive caregiving for children, including supervising activities and engaging in educational play
• Teach age-appropriate skills and activities to foster development and learning

• Bathe, dress, feed, and supervise children
• Change diapers and assist with toilet training
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children tailored to family preferences
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment in the home
• Plan and supervise activities such as games, reading, and outings to promote child development
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Follow parents’ directions regarding discipline and child-rearing practices  
• Launder and care for children’s clothing and linens

Job Summary:

1. Private household in Markham, Ontario is seeking a full-time Home Child Care Provider.
2. Wage: $21.10 per hour
3. Hours: 32 hours per week
4. Work location: Must work at employer’s residence
5. Start date: As soon as possible
6. Benefits- Parking available

Employment Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school education/ diploma is required
• Previous experience in childcare or related caregiving is an asset
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to work independently in a private household setting
• Responsible, reliable, and patient with children

Work Conditions:

• Private household environment
• Physically active role involving lifting and carrying children when required
• Exposure to normal household and childcare-related conditions
• Must ensure constant supervision and safety of children
