Responsibilities
Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Monitor the client’s respiratory effort, rate, and comfort while connected to the ventilator
Provide care for an individual using mechanical ventilation.
Monitor ventilator equipment and report any concerns promptly.
Perform tracheostomy care and suctioning (if trained and authorized)
Assist with bedside and personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Administer medications
Feed or assist in feeding
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Provide companionship
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
