Plumber

Axis Mechanical Ltd. is currently hiring a plumber for a permanent and full-time position to join their team in Chilliwack as soon as possible.

Position: Plumber

Job Location: 44550 S Sumas Rd #401, Chilliwack, BC V2R 5M3 

Education: Grade12th

Experience: 2years – 3 years experience

Number of openings: 1

Wage: $36.60 / Hr

Hours: 30 to 40 Hours per week

Language: English

Job Description:

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
• Install, fix and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing equipments and systems
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Instruct apprentices
• Determine and indicate the location of  pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Accommodate pipe and pipe fittings by cutting openings in walls and floors.
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
• Using air and water pressure gauges, check pipes for any leakage.
• Determine the requirements of the piping system and pipe sizing.
• Supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to the necessary shape and size
