ABOUT US
Power Line Electric Ltd. is a Guelph-based electrical contracting company providing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair services for residential and commercial projects. The company also operates a warehouse that stores and distributes electrical materials, tools, and equipment for its job sites. Due to continued growth, we are hiring a full-time Project Manager, Construction to plan, coordinate, and oversee our electrical construction projects from start to completion.

JOB DETAILS

- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
- Wage: $55.56 per hour

- Work location: Unit 7A, 291 Woodlawn Road West, Guelph, Ontario (on site, no remote work)
- Language of work: English
- Start date: As soon as possible

JOB DUTIES
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate electrical construction projects from start to completion
- Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates, and plan and manage project budgets
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress
- Select, hire, and supervise trade subcontractors, and coordinate their activities
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements
- Direct the purchase of building materials and equipment for job sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Plan, organize, and evaluate daily site operations
- Develop and implement quality control programs, policies, and procedures
- Develop risk management plans and ensure compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and occupational health and safety requirements
- Represent the company with clients, consultants, and inspectors
- Oversee the analysis of project data and prepare progress reports
- Supervise electricians and construction trades helpers and labourers

REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in construction project management
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Good judgement and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
