Following are the job duties of Retail Store Manager but not limited to:

  • Planned, organized, directed, and evaluated the day-to-day operations of the retail supermarket to ensure efficient business performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervised, trained, scheduled, and evaluated sales associates, cashiers, stock clerks, and other store personnel while assigning daily duties and monitoring productivity.
  • Monitored inventory levels, analyzed sales trends, and coordinated the ordering and replenishment of grocery products, fresh produce, dairy, frozen foods, and other merchandise to meet customer demand.
  • Developed and implemented merchandising, promotional, and pricing strategies to maximize sales, improve profitability, and remain competitive within the local retail market.
  • Established and maintained relationships with suppliers and distributors, negotiated product purchases when required, and ensured the timely procurement of merchandise.
  • Planned and monitored departmental budgets, reviewed sales reports, controlled operating expenses, and implemented strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Ensured high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and implementing measures to enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Maintained compliance with company policies, food safety standards, health and safety regulations, and applicable retail operating procedures.
  • Recruited, trained, mentored, and retained staff while conducting performance evaluations and supporting employee development.
  • Coordinated store operations, including merchandising displays, inventory control, loss prevention, and opening and closing procedures to ensure efficient daily operations.
