Job Description:

Haither Trading Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at our Esso gas station and convenience store located in Smithville, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily store operations, supporting employees, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hire and train staff or arrange for employee training

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of store employees

• Establish and manage employee work schedules

• Order merchandise and maintain appropriate inventory levels

• Receive, organize, and maintain stock and store displays

• Sell merchandise and assist customers with purchases

• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service concerns

• Resolve supply shortages and operational issues

• Manage cash transactions and ensure proper cash handling procedures

• Ensure the store operates efficiently and maintains a clean and safe environment

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary (high) school education

• 1 to 2 years of retail or supervisory experience required

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

• Organized, reliable, and dependable with strong attention to detail

• English language ability required

• Valid driver's licence and own transportation preferred

Work Conditions:

• Work must be completed on-site at the physical location

• Flexible availability required, including morning, evening, night, weekend, and shift work

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform duties in a busy retail environment

• Must be able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
