Job Description

Modern Kitchens & Woodworking is seeking an experienced and reliable Cabinetmakers Foreman/Woman to supervise cabinetmakers and apprentices and coordinate day-to-day production activities in our woodworking and kitchen manufacturing operations.

Main Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cabinetmakers and woodworking staff.
• Assign work tasks and monitor production schedules to ensure timely project completion.
• Interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications for custom cabinetry projects.
• Inspect finished cabinets and woodworking products to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
• Train and mentor new employees on cabinetmaking techniques, equipment operation, and workplace safety.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safe operation of woodworking machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels of wood, hardware, and other materials and coordinate material requirements.
• Resolve production issues and implement efficient manufacturing processes to improve productivity.
• Enforce workplace health and safety policies and maintain a clean and organized production area.
• Collaborate with management, designers, and installation teams to ensure customer specifications and project deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 3 to less than 5 years of relevant cabinetmaking or supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising cabinetmakers and/or apprentices.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Reliable, accurate and client-focused.
