Job Description

Hollingwood Services Inc. is a growing construction company based in Brampton, Ontario, specializing in residential and commercial renovation and construction projects. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Drywall Installer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall systems at various construction sites while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Salary
• $37.00 per hour - 30 to 40 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities

• Measure, cut and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project requirements

• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wood framing using hand and power tools

• Apply drywall compound and tape to joints, corners and fasteners to create smooth surfaces

• Sand and finish drywall surfaces in preparation for painting or other finishes

• Repair and replace damaged drywall, ceilings and wall sections as required

• Read and follow blueprints, sketches and work orders to complete assigned tasks

• Install corner beads, trim and other finishing materials to ensure a professional appearance

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times while working on construction sites

• Handle, move and organize materials and supplies required for drywall installation projects

• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition

• Work with supervisors and other trades to ensure projects are completed on schedule

Education
• Secondary school completion is preferred

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 2 year of experience as a Drywall Installer or in a related construction occupation
• Experience using drywall installation and finishing tools and equipment
• Ability to read measurements and perform basic calculations
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Valid driver's licence is considered an asset
• Willingness to work overtime when required

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry construction materials
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and work in physically demanding environments
