Assistant Restaurant Manager

Downtown Squamish Pub Ltd DBA Sunny Chibas is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Squamish, British Columbia.

Position Details

• Work Location: 1584 Highway 99, Squamish, BC V8B 0H2
• Work setting: On-site
• Wage: $38.50 per hour
• Hours: 35–40 hours per week
• Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 1-2 Years of experience
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Strong leadership, organizational, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Job Duties

• Assist in planning, organizing, and evaluating daily restaurant operations.
• Supervise restaurant staff and coordinate their daily activities.
• Prepare staff schedules and assign duties according to operational requirements.
• Train employees and monitor their performance.
• Analyze operating budgets and identify ways to maintain and improve restaurant profitability.
• Develop budgets for food, ingredients, beverages, kitchen supplies, and cleaning supplies.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, inventory levels, and labour costs.
• Review food preparation methods and recommend adjustments to menu prices based on costs and budgets.
• Determine the types of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
• Calculate the cost of products and services.
• Organize and maintain inventory and arrange the ordering of necessary supplies.
• Ensure that food safety, workplace health, and safety regulations are followed.
• Respond to customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service and help maintain a positive dining experience.
• Negotiate with clients regarding catering services or the use of restaurant facilities.
