We are an elderly couple seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to assist us in our daily living. My husband requires help with personal care, mobility, and routine activities, while I need general support around the home. We are looking for a live?out caregiver who is patient, respectful, and committed to providing quality care in a private household setting.

 Position: Live Out - Elderly Caregiver / Home Support Worker                                                                                                     Wage: $21.00 hourly — 30 hours per week                                                                                                                 Employment Type: Permanent — Full time                                                                                                                   Location: Toronto, ON (M4T 2B7)                                                                                                                                         Start Date: January 15, 2027                                                                                                                                                     Vacancies: 1

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist elderly husband with bathing, grooming, toileting, and other aspects of personal hygiene

• Support husband’s mobility, including safe transfers and walking

• Provide general support and companionship to both husband and myself

• Administer medications as directed

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

• Cook and assist with dietary needs

• Shop for food and household supplies

• Launder and mend clothing and household linens

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

• Monitor and report any changes in the husband’s health or behavior

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and clean home environment

Requirements

• Some secondary school education is usually required.

• Home management experience may be required.

• College or other courses in home support may be required.

• First aid certification may be required.

• Completion of a training program in care of the elderly, care of persons with disabilities, convalescent care, or a related field may be required.
