Salary/Wages: $39.00 per hour

Hours of Work: 30 -40 Hours per week

Terms: Full time, Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Education: Secondary School certificate

Experience: 2 year to less than 3 years Language: English

Job Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements.
• Prepare layouts in accordance with project specifications and building requirements using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes, wood composites and lightweight steel materials.
• Install, assemble and secure kitchen cabinets, countertops and related fixtures according to design specifications.
• Fit and install cabinet doors, drawer fronts, mouldings, trim, hardware and other finishing components.
• Construct and install decorative and false walls using wood, wood-composite panels, slats and related finishing materials.
• Fabricate and install wood and wood-composite railings, handrails and related components for stairs, patios, decks and balconies.
• Perform finish carpentry work, including installation of wood panels, trims, mouldings, framing, partitions and other custom wood features.
• Repair, modify and refinish cabinets, countertops, railings, wall features and other wood or wood-composite structures in residential and commercial settings.
• Ensure installed components are properly measured, aligned, levelled, secured and finished according to project specifications.
• Supervise apprentices and other installation or production workers.
• Prepare material requirements and cost estimates for clients.
