SUPERVISOR

Location: 5193 176 Street, Surrey, BC V3Z 1C2
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: $40.00 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Job Description

We are seeking a Supervisor to coordinate day-to-day operations, oversee workers and projects, and help ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to operational requirements at our Surrey location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily work assignments and schedules.

  • Supervise workers and follow up on ongoing projects.

  • Prepare routine production and operational reports.

  • Assist workers with job-related issues and provide practical guidance when required.

  • Identify operational concerns and suggest ways to improve work quality and efficiency.

  • Provide training to workers or coordinate training as needed.

  • Dispatch bus drivers and keep track of their assigned routes.

  • Operate and monitor signal and track switch control equipment.

  • Coordinate activities between workers and ensure schedules are followed.

  • Monitor compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

  • Provide recommendations regarding staffing and personnel matters.

  • Arrange equipment repairs and coordinate equipment rentals.

  • Order and maintain necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.

  • Use MS Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, for routine administrative and reporting tasks.

Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.

Experience

  • 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.

  • Experience in a supervisory or coordinating role is an asset.

  • Basic proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Office.

  • Good organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work full-time on-site at the Surrey, BC location.

  • English language proficiency required.
