Wage: $24.50 per hour

Hours: 35–40 hours per week

Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, caring, and responsible Home Support Worker to provide personal care and assistance in a private home. The successful candidate will help with daily activities, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and maintaining a comfortable and safe living environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide bedside and personal care.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Support regular exercise, including walking.
• Assist with feeding and mealtimes.
• Wash, fold, and organize clothing and linens.
• Mend clothing and household linens as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Cook meals and maintain kitchen cleanliness.

Education and Experience

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

• 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to communicate in English.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate punctuality, dependability, organization, reliability, patience, and honesty.

Work Environment

• Non-smoking household.

• Work must be performed on-site at the employer's residence in Surrey, BC.

• Remote work is not available.
