Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

• Supervise, coordinate, and oversee the daily activities of custodial and janitorial staff to ensure cleaning operations are completed efficiently and according to company and client standards.
• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning schedules, assign work areas and responsibilities, and monitor staff performance to ensure all service requirements are met.
• Inspect commercial, industrial, institutional, and other client facilities to evaluate cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and overall service quality, and take corrective action where required.
• Establish and maintain standardized cleaning procedures, checklists, and quality-control practices to ensure consistent delivery of custodial services across assigned facilities.
• Train, orient, and provide ongoing guidance to custodial employees regarding cleaning methods, equipment operation, chemical handling, WHMIS, workplace safety, and company procedures.
• Coordinate specialized cleaning activities, including floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, high-touch surface disinfection, washroom sanitation, and deep-cleaning operations.
• Monitor the condition and availability of cleaning equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies, and coordinate inventory replenishment to ensure uninterrupted cleaning operations.
• Ensure that custodial equipment and cleaning chemicals are used, maintained, stored, and disposed of safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Review attendance, work assignments, completed checklists, inspection reports, and other operational records to monitor staff productivity and service delivery.
• Communicate with clients, facility representatives, and company management regarding cleaning requirements, service issues, complaints, schedule changes, and corrective measures.
• Investigate service-quality concerns and customer complaints, determine appropriate corrective actions, and follow up with custodial staff to ensure deficiencies are resolved promptly.
