TRANSPORTATION FLEET MANAGER

Job description:

HIRING FOR TRANSPORTATION FLEET MANAGER POSITION FOR OUR TAXI COMPANY BASED IN TERRACE, BC.

THE JOB WILL BE FULL TIME AND PERMANENT WITH 30 TO 40 HOURS PER WEEK.

ALL THE SHIFTS WILL BE MORNING/ DAY SHIFTS WITH THE POTENTIAL OF OVERTIME. WORK WILL BE ON SITE.

START DATE: AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

WAGE RATE: $57.69 PER HOUR

Tasks and responsibilities include:
Evaluate daily operations
Monitor department’s performance
Plan and organize daily operations
Plan for changes to schedules and policies
Prepare reports for senior management
Recruit staff
Supervise staff
Train staff
Manage finances or budget
Ensure transport compliance with regulations
Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
Organize and maintain inventory
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

YOU WILL BE SUPERVISING MORE THAN 20 PEOPLE.

A CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EFFICIENT INTERPERSONAL SKILLS, EXCELLENT ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION, BE A TEAM PLAYER, RELIABLE AND ORGANIZED AND MUST HAVE GOOD JUDGEMENT SKILLS FOR THIS POSITION.
