Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Load, secure, and unload cargo safely at designated pickup and delivery locations.
• Obtain and maintain required permits, customs documents, and other paperwork for international transportation.
• Operate straight trucks and tractor-trailer units to transport goods and materials over long distances.
• Regularly inspect the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, refrigeration/cold-storage systems, and other equipment, to ensure safe operation.
• Handle required payments and receipts related to cargo deliveries and transportation services.
• Carry out brake adjustments and ensure braking systems remain in proper working condition.
• Complete comprehensive pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and monitor the overall condition of the vehicle.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues requiring further attention.
• Communicate with central dispatch regarding routes, schedules, deliveries, delays, and other operational matters.,
• Maintain accurate records of cargo, driving hours, distances travelled, fuel usage, and other required trip information.
• Properly tarp, secure, and protect cargo to prevent damage and ensure the safety and security of goods during transportation.

Eligibility Requirements:

• A Secondary school graduation certificate is the minimum educational requirement for this job.
• No experience required, on-the-job training will be provided
• A valid regular driver's license is often required to start the hiring process.
• AZ class license preferably be required.
• Background checks to ensure that one has no disqualifying criminal history
• A good understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards is crucial
• Strong communication skills in English are essential for understanding road signs, and regulations, andeffectively communicatingwith others.

• Salary : 37.00 to 40.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 hours per week
• Overtime: Payable for hours worked in excess of 60 hours per week, or 50 hours in a week in which a general holiday occurs, in accordance with applicable federal labour standards.
