Food Supervisor

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise the staff who prepare, portion and serve food to clients.

• Provide direction and leadership to the food preparation team and ensure all standard operating procedures are followed

• Supervise the common areas for safety and cleanliness 

• Maintain records of stock and order inventory in anticipation of the food needs

• Train and develop all team members so that we foster a knowledgeable, personal, and customer-focused culture at Canalta 

• Maintain familiarity with the composition of all food menu items

Qualifications: (experience needed and education)

• At least two years of experience in the food service sector, including at least six months in a supervisory capacity.

• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food service an asset

• Must be flexible on the work schedule as the person will be required to work on various shifts (day, evenings, weekends)

Salary: $19.00-23.00 / hour

Vacation: 2 weeks per year after first year worked

Job Type: Full-time permanent, minimum 32  hours per week 

Language: English speaking is required.
