Job Title – Procurement Manager
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (at least 40 hours per week)
Wages: $45/ Hour
Number of Positions: 01
Language Requirement: English
Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible
Minimum Education Required: A bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or economics is required.
Work Experience Required: At least 1 year of work experience is required in a similar role
Job Location: 1306 Columbia Ave, Castlegar, BC, V1N 1H2, Canada

Responsibilities:

• Develop, hone and execute new improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing.
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
• Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
• Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency.
• Train new employees and support team members as necessary.
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.
• Examine and test existing contracts.
• Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses while increasing productivity.
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.
• Coordinate deliveries and perform quality check of the products delivered.
• Initiate return claim in case of damaged or poor quality of product received by the vendor and follow up on the claim with the vendor if necessary.
