Location: London ON N6A 2R5

Salary: $35.25 per hour for 35 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment 

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software for clients.
• Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
• Set up local area network and connections to the internet, implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance at clients location
• Regular data backups to protect the organization’s information
• Provide technical direction to co-workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions
• Design and install well-functioning computer networks, connections and cabling
• Perform troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network
• Inspect LAN/WAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs
• Test and configure software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices
• Evaluate infrastructure performance and find ways of improvement
• Communicating with staff and clients to help set up systems or resolve issues 

Eligibility Requirements:

• College/CEGEP is required as the minimum qualification; in computer science and IT or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience required preferably as a network technician or related.
• Proven experience as network technician or relevant position
• Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication skills
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
• Hands-on experience with common software and hardware
