Job Description

Two (2) Full time Permanent positions of Early Childhood Assistants (NOC 42202) are available at Wee Ones Childcare Academy located at 409 Main St E, Milton, ON, L9T1P7.

Main Duties to be completed as per the lead statement of NOC 42202: 

·      Provide support to early childhood educators in developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, 

·      Engage children in activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts for a positive and safe environment.

·      Monitoring and supervising children in the development of proper eating, dressing and washroom routines.

·      Assisting children with sand, water or outdoor activities and putting them to sleep.

·      Developing relationships with children, parents and guardians on a constant manner.

·      Alerting & informing educator or supervisor in any emergencies.

·      Greeting parents and addressing children with their names.

·      Write & submit report of observations on children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems for educators or supervisor. 

·      Preparing and serving meals and snacks on time to children.

·      Attend and participate in Staff meetings, parents’ meetings and other professional development activities.

Requirements:

·      Completion of College Early Childhood Education Diploma 

·      Minimum one (1) year of related work experience.
