Truck Driver, Long Haul - FGS Group Ltd.

FGS Group Ltd., a reputable transport company located at 2715 N York River Rd, Milton Station, PE C1E 0T8, seeks experienced Truck Drivers and long Haul to join our dynamic team. We are currently looking to fill 5 full-time positions in Prince Edward Island.

Responsibilities:

• Drive in a team or convoy setting, ensuring safe transportation of goods.
• Loading and unloading goods efficiently and safely.
• Obtain necessary permits and documentation for international cargo transportation.
• Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport various materials.
• Regularly inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, and brakes.
• Perform necessary brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance and perform preventive maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with central dispatch, relaying relevant information.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• Ensure proper tarping and safety measures for cargo transportation.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods with utmost care.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
• Possession of Air Brake Endorsement.
• Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary $25 hourly 
• Full-time, Permanent position minimum of 40 to 50 Hours Per Week.
