Job Description

 

Language: English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Asset languages: German

Wage: 29.00/hr

Vacancy: 1

Job Type: Permanent/ Full time ( 35-44 hours/week)

Work Location: 19 Moore Street, Carleton Place, ON K7C 2R4

Work site environment: Dusty, Cold/refrigerated and Odours

Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer and Microbrewery

Tasks

  • Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
  • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
  • Prepare production and other reports
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
  • Identify, evaluate, control and prevent hazards at all stages of the food production process
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies

Supervision

  • 1 to 2 people
  • Process control and machine operators, food and beverage processing
  • Testers and graders, food and beverage processing

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Experience and specialization

Regulations knowledge

  • CIP (Cleaning In Place) and SIP (Sanitizing in Place) Systems
  • Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment
