JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking to hire a valuable member for our Technical Support team. The team
member will be providing professional services to our clients as per the job requirements mentioned
below.

JOB TITLE: USER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

NO. OF POSITIONS: 1

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:

  • Coordinate with customers to resolve all technical issues and escalate same if required.
  • Read technical manuals & guides to confer with users.
  • Investigate and resolve problems to help the users.
  • Identify the needs of users and train them on proper software use.
  • Provide proper network, and internet support to the users.
  • Create documentation and manuals for use by other users.
  • Developing, designing, or creating new applications and software
  • Maintain a log of technical issues encountered by users for the QA team to analyze and
  • work with them to rectify the issues.
  • Keeping up-to-date knowledge and implementing while working

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of Senior Secondary is required.
  • Completion of a college program in computer science, computer programming or network
  • administration is required.
  • An apprenticeship training of 2 or more years or 1 or more years of experience working in
  • the occupation is required.
  • Excellent communication skills in English

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Client focus and dependability
  • Must be a team player, flexible, reliable, and organized.
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent, Full-time, Long Term

HOURS OF WORK: 36 hours per week

WAGES: $30.77

OVERTIME: One and half times the regular wages as per provincial regulations

BENEFITS PACKAGE:

  • Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer.
  • Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.

LOCATION OF WORK: 207-2963 Glen Drive, Coquitlam, BC V3B 2P7

ANTICIPATED START DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: As soon as possible.

Preference given to applicants who are Canadian citizens, Canadian Permanent Residents, Asylum Seekers with valid open work permit/ New Immigrants, Indigenous Persons / Aboriginals, Visible Minorities and Vulnerable Youth.
